Chris Phillips is a partner in the Savannah office of Hunter Maclean. He has a general litigation defense practice which includes medical malpractice defense, construction law, products liability, insurance law, and other general areas of litigation. Chris currently focuses his practice on the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses, nursing homes and other health care related professionals in medical malpractice matters. In his more than thirty years of litigating various types of disputes, Chris has participated in over fifty jury trials and arbitrations, including in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and New York.
Chris graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Forest Resources in 1983 and a Master’s degree in Forest Business Management in 1985. He also graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law with a J.D., cum laude, in 1988. During law school, he served on Georgia Law Review.
Chris is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Chris has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America and as a Georgia Super Lawyer for each of the last 12 years and has been listed as a “Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend Magazine. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV Rating.
